Welcome to Gigdesk — the invite-only desk where 800+ clients come to hire remote freelancers. This page is your launchpad: five things to do, in order, to go from a fresh account to landing your first client. Your setup checklist

Each item links to the chapter that covers it in depth. Work down the list in order and you finish the day with a live desk, your first paid gig, and a streak clients can see.

   Create your account

   Open your invite link and sign in with just your email — a 6-digit code logs you in, no password required. First-timers enter the invite code WIFIBREAD to unlock the account. Accepting the invite turns the client's package into your first workspace.

   Earn your first dollar on the Marketplace

   Head to the Marketplace to pick up your first paid gig. Everything you take on runs out of a workspace — see Run your workspace for how the mailboxes, agents, and bookmarks fit together day to day.

   Create your avatars

   Avatars are the freelancer social accounts your desk works as for gigs — we recommend starting with LinkedIn, Reddit, and TikTok. They're money-producing assets you own; add them, track each one's level, and price the work with the built-in calculator. (See how much avatars can earn.)

   Get verified

   Verification lives in Settings. Verified freelancers unlock free membership perks — including preferred recommendation to clients — so you show up first when they're hiring.
